Description
PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Polyaluminium Chloride (PAC) is a pre-polymerized inorganic coagulant used for clarification and solid-liquid separation in water treatment. After dilution and dosing, hydrolyzed aluminium species destabilize suspended particles and colloids, promoting the formation of larger flocs that can be removed by sedimentation, flotation or filtration.
EASTKING supplies two mainstream export grades: PAC 28% yellow powder for industrial wastewater and general water-treatment applications, and PAC 30% light-yellow powder for customers requiring higher aluminium oxide content and improved solubility. Products are supplied according to confirmed specifications and batch-specific COA results.
KEY PRODUCT FEATURES
| FAST COAGULATION AND FLOCCULATION Promotes rapid destabilization of suspended solids and formation of settleable flocs under suitable treatment conditions. |
| LOW DOSAGE POTENTIAL Compared with conventional aluminium salts, PAC can provide effective coagulation over a broader operating range; the optimum dose must be established by jar testing. |
| CONVENIENT DRY POWDER FORM Powder products are suitable for long-distance export, dry storage and preparation of dosing solutions at the customer’s site. |
GRADE SELECTION
| Grade | Typical Appearance | Typical Positioning |
| PAC 28% | Yellow powder | Industrial wastewater, mining, washing water, paper and general-purpose coagulation |
| PAC 30% | Light-yellow powder | Higher Al₂O₃ requirement, lower insoluble matter, refined water-treatment applications |
Grade selection should be confirmed according to the customer’s specification, source water, treatment target and local requirements. Product colour alone is not sufficient to determine suitability

The suitability of PAC for each application depends on the water composition, pH, temperature, dosage and treatment system. Application claims should be confirmed by site testing.
PREPARATION AND DOSING GUIDANCE
- Prepare a PAC solution using clean water. A common starting concentration for dry PAC is approximately 5–10% by mass, subject to the dosing equipment and site procedure.
- Add the powder gradually while stirring to minimize lump formation.
- Allow sufficient mixing until the product is adequately dispersed or dissolved.
- Dilute further when required by the dosing pump or treatment process.
- Determine the final dosage through jar testing or controlled site trials.
IMPORTANT APPLICATION NOTES
- The optimum PAC grade and dosage depend on raw-water quality, pH, alkalinity, temperature, mixing conditions and required outlet quality.
- PAC should not be presented as guaranteeing a fixed COD, colour or turbidity reduction for all wastewater.
- When a customer requests grade selection or a treatment guarantee, laboratory jar testing and factory technical support are recommended.
- PAC may be used together with PAM in some systems, but the dosing order and dosage must be established by testing.
- For drinking-water applications, verify the required national standard, certification and heavy-metal limits before quotation.
| SUPPLIER BOUNDARY EASTKING supplies PAC as a standard treatment material according to an agreed specification. Application dosage and treatment performance depend on the customer’s water quality and process conditions. |

SAFETY AND TRANSPORT
PAC powder is an industrial chemical and may irritate the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Avoid dust generation and direct contact. Use suitable gloves, eye protection and dust control during handling. Follow the current SDS supplied for the actual grade.
- Keep packaging tightly sealed and protect the product from moisture.
- Do not mix directly with incompatible chemicals.
- Avoid uncontrolled release to drains or the environment.
- Use clean, corrosion-resistant dissolution and dosing equipment where appropriate.
- Follow the customer’s local occupational-safety and environmental requirements.
Common solid PAC grades are frequently shipped as non-dangerous goods under IMDG; however, classification must be confirmed against the actual product SDS and transport identification report. Liquid or specially formulated grades may have different classifications.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the difference between PAC 28% and PAC 30%?
PAC 28% is commonly positioned as an economical industrial grade. PAC 30% has higher Al₂O₃ content and is generally supplied with lower insoluble matter and a lighter colour. The final choice should be based on the customer’s specification and application test.
Can PAC be quoted directly when the customer specifies 28% or 30%?
Yes. When the grade, specification, packaging and quantity are clear, PAC can normally be quoted as a standard chemical material.
Can EASTKING recommend the exact dosage?
A general starting range may be discussed, but the optimum dosage must be determined by jar testing or site trials because water quality and treatment systems vary.
Is PAC dangerous cargo?
Common solid PAC powder is frequently transported as non-dangerous goods. The actual supplier SDS and transport report must be checked before booking.
Is PAC 30% automatically suitable for drinking water?
No. Al₂O₃ content alone does not prove drinking-water compliance. The required national standard, heavy-metal limits, certification and factory production qualification must be confirmed.
Can customized packaging be supplied?
Yes. Neutral bags, customer printing, shipping marks, palletizing and moisture-protection options are available subject to order quantity.
